THE CABLE SHOW 2008 PRESENTS THE TRU2WAY DEVELOPERS’ SHOWCASE CHALLENGE
The Cable Show, hosted by NCTA (National Cable & Telecommunications Association), is the country’s largest annual cable and telecommunications convention and international exhibition. With over 14,000 attendees and hundreds of exhibitors, The Cable Show is the premier showcase that unites the cable telecommunications industry for three concentrated days of networking, learning and collaboration. This year The Cable Show is at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana from May 18-20, 2008.
The Cable Show features the second annual tru2way Developers' Conference, which provides an in-depth look at the tools, traits and trends of cable’s highly anticipated interactive TV platform. New this year is the tru2way Developers' Showcase Challenge. The challenge provides Java developers the opportunity to develop applications for the tru2way platform and for cable. Java developers participating in the challenge will have an opportunity to download tru2way toolsets (free, limited-time download), develop applications and submit them to NCTA for review. NCTA will invite those with the most interesting/compelling applications to attend and present at the developers' conference and display their application in the CableNET Technology Showcase throughout the show.
Deadline for submissions is April 30, 2008. Fore more information about the tru2way Developers' Showcase Challenge visit: http://2008.thecableshow.com/Attending/DevelopersShowcaseChallenge.aspx
