Solekai Systems is a services-oriented company specializing in the design and development of embedded and application software. We offer a full range of software engineering services including system design, software development and product test with significant expertise in digital video and embedded devices design projects.

The Java Software Engineer will be part of a team building the next generation of power management software for the utility industry by re-engineering the core components of an existing system. The team will design, test and implement this cutting-edge software solution.

Necessary Qualifications/Experience: 

To be considered for the Java Software Engineer position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
BS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years Java application development experience required
5+ year in enterprise development
5+ years design and architecture of complex solutions
GUI development expertise
Linux and Windows environment experience
Excellent communication skills and ability to work at a fast pace with minimum direction.
Candidates who can show any of the following experience are preferred:
Java XML application development – JAXP, JAXB, XMLBeans, or other Java-XML binding
Strong standalone Java experience – J2EE (used for filtering)
Experience with Java UI Toolkits – Swing, AWT, SWT, JFace, Java2D
XML technologies, including XPATH, DTD, XSLT, and XML Schema
Unit test libraries – J-unit
Java XML technologies – JAX-RPC, JAXR, SAAJ, Java WSDP, JAX-WS, Eclipse plug-in development
Relational database experience
