Job Description: 

Would you like to write software that will run in millions of people’s homes and change the way they watch television? Do you have experience in a high-level language like Java or C# but also an appreciation for performance tuning in C or assembly?

This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly qualified engineer to implement the next evolution of Interactive TV technologies. Develop state of the art TV-centric applications that will potentially be viewed and enjoyed by millions of viewers. Using cutting edge technology, you will work in cross-functional teams to design multi-platform TV applications that run on a wide variety of set-top boxes and middleware systems.

Responsibilities:
Design client architecture and application features to support development of TV applications.
Write core code to enable porting of client layer to multiple flavors of set-top boxes
Work with customers and partners on design issues and technical integration of content and services.
Work with designers and QA to build features from initial requirements through delivery.
Highlight issues associated with scalability, flexibility, performance, and robustness.

Necessary Qualifications/Experience: 

Required expertise in C programming
Required expertise in Java or C# programming
Experience with embedded systems programming
Demonstrated expertise in problem solving and technical innovation related to application performance and memory usage
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
Experience with XML and user interface development a plus
Experience in developing software for consumer electronics (set-top boxes, cell phones, PDAs) a plus
Experience in operating systems-level programming a plus
Experience in assembly language programming a plus
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent required.
